Charity

Apart from his sportive activities, Dinamo plays a great social role. Charity activities are part of Dinamo’s everyday life. FC Dinamo together with his executive Vice Chairman Zdravko Mamić are helping the associations of disabled and ill people or any others who need our help. Good is always paying back as the last action has proved. Adrijan Antunović, 16-year old boy, lost his parents in an accident at Christmas 2006. On this occasion Adrian was given a financial help and Zdravko Mamić invited him to come and train with the juniors. Adrian showed his remarkable talent and thus enabled his future place in the blue team.
We also donated a certain amount of money to the Croatian association of disabled people. The money was gathered by selling of the bracelets “never surrender”. The motto was readily accepted by those who were given the donation. Dinamo has always been fighting against prejudice and ignorance of real problems. To prove that, they helped the “HIV”- positive person who was denied of any help. During the world’s day of AIDS we helped the man suffering from AIDS to find a place for living as no help came from the community.
Apart from helping the disabled, sick and roofless we tried to help those who were not able to develop their talent to the full extent. One of them was a young talented pianist Petar Klasan, whom the club donated a piano and thus gave help in his first professional steps.

Many times has Dinamo shown his generous side and helped those who were in terrible need.

Ante Gotovina, Croatian General, sent a special “thank you” letter from the prison in Hag. He was specially grateful for the action Dinamo had undertaken in order to help him. Namely, all the money from the match Vs Hajduk was sent to the special fund for the defense of the Croatian Generals.

We have been trying very hard to find the best way to help all those who needed our help. One of them was Matej Župančić for whom we bought breathing device and thus helped him live better life. We also gathered significance amount of money for the Dubrava institution in a joint charity action with Lions and Getro. We also helped Dorian Grizelj to pay the operation as he was suffering from a very rare disease – “glass bones”. We are also helping various institutions like “Sanus” from Split, the association of the children suffering from malignant diseases or Tigniarius Association which takes care of the old disabled people. Cities Hvar and Knin have been renovated owing to our donation and Zagreb’s Public Kitchen was reopened with our help. The money raised from the charity auction while the money raised at Christmas party in 2005. was given to the Association Down Syndrome. A year later the money raised from lottery was given to the children with special needs from Caritas Varaždin. FC Dinamo is planning to give help to all those who are in need as long as needed. We are fully aware of our sportive as well as social power and we are only too proud to use it in the best possible and socially useful way.
